Terminator: TSCC, Canceled Yet Again

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, an astonishingly good television adaptation of the beloved Terminator franchise, was canceled after the completion of its 2009 second season, right on a cliff-hanger. Fans rejoiced when it was picked up in syndication by the Syfy, a network known for producing its own shows and movies.

Word quickly spread that the series would finally get the conclusion that it so rightfully deserved, but it was not to be. After just a few weeks on the air in syndication, the network has pulled the plug. According to the show, Skynet was to begin its attack on humanity yesterday. Perhaps this is the first wave?

Update: And, of course, I can’t find a single video on YouTube that allows embedding, so you’ll just have to watch the ending to season 1 over there.

Grandparents’ 50th Anniversary Documentary

As promised after yesterday’s tongue-in-cheek trailer, here’s a brief documentary that I assembled to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of William Huff and Verna Huff, my paternal Grandfather and late Grandmother.

Sorry about the video quality. This was shot on a state of the art camera and assembled with the latest iMovie, but that was eight years ago.

Overall, I was glad that I got a chance to film this, because it’s a memory that I’ll be able to keep for a long time. They certainly had a wonderful life together.

Grandparents’ 50th Anniversary Trailer

Eight years ago, I had a chance to assemble a brief documentary for my paternal Grandfather and late Grandmother’s  fiftieth anniversary. Before the documentary played later in the celebration, I wanted to show a bit of a trailer, and managed to assemble the perfect clips to create this wonderful tongue-in-cheek trailer.

Sorry about the overall quality. This was shot on a state of the art camera and assembled with the latest iMovie, but that was eight years ago.

Photos From our Hike

Earlier this month, Sarah and I went on a brief hike in the Angeles National Forest with John and Christina of Clan Dragonas. Since I haven’t shared any photos here since 2007, I decided to take my camera with and managed to snap a few shots worth sharing. Enjoy!

MacManX.com v2.0

MacManX.com v2.0 is finally here thanks to a new theme courtesy of Joen Asmussen.  A while ago, I began to realize that MacManX.com was suffering from the very same thing that I often criticize other websites for: link overload with a lack of focus on the content.  I’m proud to report that sidebar links have now been reduced by over 90% and the content is clearer than ever.

If you’re curious about how much the look of MacManX.com has changed over the ages, check out the new MacManX.com Themes gallery.
