Fog Burning Away

The morning fog is burning away on the last day of the Automattic meetup in Santa Cruz, California. You could be here with us too. All you have to do is apply.

  1. Ahh if only I was a coder I’d apply straight away. Need a career change badly but unfortunately I don’t have the experience ;(

Looks great and loving all the pictures

    1. You don’t need to be a coder to apply for a Happiness Engineer position. 🙂

      1. OK I’ve read that and thanks for linking it. I have basic HTML and CSS but probably not enough for a company such as yours. Of course I run a small part time web/hosting company but it’s all basic intro stuff to be honest and my main job is nothing to do with your industry whatsoever so I guess you would want people who are at least from it.

So what does being a Happiness Engineer actually involve day to day if you don’t mind me asking?

        1. I don’t want you to be discouraged, try applying, seriously. You’ll never really know if you don’t try. 🙂

Most of the day to day activities involve helping users with features of the platform itself. There actually isn’t much CSS or HTML help, as the Custom Design team have their own Happiness Engineers for CSS, and not many users jump into HTML since we have the Visual post editor.

  2. Hmm OK I’ll think about it and no you won’t put me off. I just dont want to waste people’s time I guess.

Thanks for your input anyways I really appreciate it!

    1. You’re welcome!
