The Avengers (1978)

What if The Avengers came out in 1978? Well, now you know, thanks to this awesome fan trailer.

There are definitely some great bits here, including my favorite Hulk, and some hilarious surprises. It’s a rather humorous romp down Nostalgia Lane.

  1. A movie buff? Great stuff but I can never remember the details everyone wants to know. Means I can watch them again though. 🙂

    1. Oh, I remember seeing most of the films presented in here, but I’m not sure I’d want to watch them again. Well, with the exception of the Hulk film. Bill Bixby still owns that role.

  2. It’s amazing how those actors were able to work well with such effects that would now be considered cheesy (although working against a green screen is even harder, and that may be the norm now).

    1. To me, it seems like it would have been much more fun to star in superhero films back then. You had practical effects, practical props, and practical sets. You were basically paid to have a pretend superhero fight with your friends.

Now, you’re on an imaginary set with imaginary props fighting imaginary creatures, and changes are you have no clue what just happened until you see the finished product.
