  • Apple Announces the iPhone

    Apple has announced the iPhone, “a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching, all in one small and lightweight handheld device.” The iPhone will be available in June, starting at $499, with Cingular Wireless as the official carrier.
