I have successfully installed Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). Currently, the only issue that I have to report is that the “Find and install new 3rd-party QuickTime software” link in the QuickTime pref pane goes nowhere (it goes to one of Apple’s custom 404 error pages). Out of my Blogroll: Tom has had issues with Spotlight, Dashboard, Firefox, Java, and Mail.app; Meng has found that his apache config file was overwritten by the upgrade to v10.4; and MacFixIt continues to report on new issues and work-arounds as they pop up.
Update: VersionTracker has posted a list of applications which have received compatibility updates for Mac OS X 10.4.

For some reason, Spotlight doesn’t work on my System Preferences window. No mather what I type in, everything just dims. I tried having Spotlight reindex the drive and it didn’t work.
Man I should have known better not to click the “upgrade” option. I’ll probably do a archive install when I have the time.
Hm, I haven’t heard that one before. Do you have any system hacks or third-party pref panes installed? Did you repair permissions after upgrading?
Turns out you are right, a 3rd party plugin screwed it up. It’s all good now! Thanks for the help.
No prob. Out of curiosity, which plugin was it?
SCPlugin for subversion. I don’t even use it.
All the more reason to get rid of it. ^_-
