The Approaching Tiger

We’re a little bit more than a week away from the tentative release of MacOS X 10.4 (Tiger). If you’re starting to get impatient (like me), you may want to pre-order a copy.

  1. Did you find and official announcement of the May 1st rumored release date? I really can’t wait. iChat jabber support 😀

  2. 🙁 I hope it’s not May 1st. I was planning on April 15th.

  3. I thought the 15th was the official GM announcement date for Tiger since it wasn’t the 1st of April.

  4. I think Tiger will hit the stores by the end of this month. I’m really eager to see its performance but at the same time, I don’t think I’ll upgrade soon. I have too much stuff on my computer right now that I have to figure out the best way to migrate my data. I know I could always do a archive upgrade but I’d rather do a clean install, since many people had problems upgrading when Panther was released.
I’ve tried Tiger (had it installed on my iPod) and I have to say that Spotlight is pretty sick. Having said that, I’m not sure if Tiger can live up to the hype mostly because Panther’s already so good therefore it’s hard to improve.
